Sky High

A somewhat quaint (especially in terms of the special effects) film that I found quite charming. A pretty simple premise that centers on the high school attended by the children of superheroes (past and present) with the lead character the son of the two greatest superheroes out there (The Commander played by Russell and Jetstream played by Preston). You could tell that Russell was having a blast with the material, since his giddiness practically jumped off the screen in every scene he was in.

Essentially a kid's movie, there was enough tongue-in-cheek dialogue and witticisms to keep me completely involved. The scene where the school coach (played by Campbell) tries to convince the mad scientist who oversees the school lab to go out on a double-date with a pair of twins still brings a smile to my face ("Did I mention that she's an evil twin?").

For me, thoroughly enjoyable.
